Plan is the entitlement: Pro (£12/mo) = unlimited accounts & websites, resellers enabled. Free = 2 accounts, 4 websites, no resellers. Setting a licence to Free (for non-payment) never takes their sites down — everything keeps working, they just can’t create more.

Enter a fresh VPS's details and the mothership will install PowerDNS on it as a secondary, point it at this primary, and authorise the zone transfer — automatically. The root password is used only for this one setup and is never stored.
Each licensed panel is given a free srv-xxxx hostname under your hostname domain, and fetches the shared wildcard certificate so its panel loads with a valid HTTPS cert. This lists every hostname that's been assigned.
